"I would stay at the Boston Manor Hotel again, but there are other, similarly priced hotels that I would consider staying at before this one. There’s an unwelcoming energy about the hotel that doesn’t sit right with me. The interior of the hotel is a collection of Hogwarts-style corridors and passageways. It’s interesting to look at, but the design of the hotel poses a number of problems as a guest. Firstly, internal sounds within the building travel very easily through it. Not only that, but to me it seemed that sounds inside the hotel are actually amplified by the hotel’s winding layout. Whenever I would casually put a cup down on my room’s dresser or close my bathroom’s door, other guests around me in their rooms would react as if I was doing it right next to them. Overall, I think the establishment is too ambitious. The building the hotel is in is also home to a banqueting hall and a restaurant. This may be great for business, but when you’re trying to remove yourself from the hustle of the city, the building’s versatility is not always pleasant. Sometimes, a hotel should just be a hotel. The ambience of the place was always somewhat electrified. This was often detrimental to any sense of peace and quiet at the hotel. There are members of staff at the hotel who wouldn’t know customer service if it came and smacked them in the face. During my time at the site, I stayed in two rooms. I stayed in a single room and was soon upgraded to a double room after I complained about banging, disturbing odours coming from an area underneath my room and a member of housekeeping staff entering my room. This staff member entered my room without me indicating (via the room’s ‘Clean Me’ sign) that I wished to have my room tended to. Nothing in the room was actually cleaned, my stuff was just moved around. I couldn’t help but assume that this staff member wished to go through my belongings. The housekeeping staff at the hotel were very proactive, and very energised. Some were confrontational and embarrassingly passive-aggressive in general. Every time I moved across the first room I was assigned to, it seemed to elicit a response from one of them. Sometimes, I felt like my personal boundaries were not only being disrespected, but were essentially going unnoticed. I couldn’t help but feel that the hotel’s housekeeping team grew to hate serving patrons everyday - and yet for some reason they’re still working there. The single room I originally stayed in was fairly small. I barely had enough space to open my suitcase out fully on the floor. However, the shower was clean and worked well. The single room’s ceiling fan didn’t work, neither did the bedside reading light. Also, the screen on my personal laptop was bigger than the TV screen on the wall in the single room. Plus, none of the TV’s radio stations were available in the single room. That said, the room was easy to heat. I was not allowed to adjust the heater that was in my room though, which was a shame as this one-size-fits-all approach to keeping myself warm wasn’t ideal. The double room I was sent to was spacious enough, however the various odours I experienced in my previous room persisted. The double room’s carpet was clean and fluffy. I had just come from a nearby Travelodge and many of the double room’s facilities were comparable to it in terms of quality. Having said that, the double room wasn’t dirty, but it did seem well used. It was as if its amenities had been used a billion times before me. This is somewhat true for all hotels. However, in this room there were cracks in the walls, and signs of deep usage on everything from the kettle, to the shower unit, to the window frame. The double room’s ceiling fan worked, the bedside light worked and the TV displayed most of the channels available to it. The room’s bathroom area was also clean. However notably, the water temperature in the shower would fluctuate between warm, hot, tepid - and then back again whenever I used it."
"Staff at Hotel is very nice humble and courteous. Hotel in general is perfect location for people who want to be between Heathrow airport and for London tourism. Boston Manor Station for Main London attractions is 10 minutes walk buses at nearly door step. Parking is there free. Located conveniently near many train and tubes and Buses facilities. Restaurant on site but there are shops and groceries and pizza place right at door steps. Room are comfortable clean and have tea coffee facilities. Altogether I would recommend this place from every point of view and value for money. Thank you guys."
"Carpark side rooms is quiet side. Staff friendly, especially efficient breakfast service where you border night before a d book time which is complimentary a d which is provided room 6am. And you can take it away if you preferred!! So good work place stop over. Their new Japanese restaurant not open on Mondays. Why? Grab something from nearby place. The new rooms was clean and the bed was really comfy with lovely clean white clean sheets. But room was not the one I booked and was rather small with no desk to work on. But was on quiet side which was better and I could park my car right outside. Parking is free for residents."
"Full breakfast included. High speed WiFI included. The whole place is being repainted. Rooms look fresh. Towels and linen refreshed everyday. I was in a single room that faced the car park at the rear. It was a bit noisy and cold. I couldn't sleep well."
"My girlfriend and I used this hotel while we were down visiting friends. Rooms were clean and we appreciated the ceiling fan as it was very hot the weekend we were down. One night we came in very late and they were happy to let us in even though the front door had been locked. We will likely use this hotel again next time we come down."
