"On arrival the receptionist was really nice and helpful. Our room. The toilet wasn't cleaned properly. There was poo still on the seat. I asked the member of staff to sort It out for me. But she never came back... we did it ourselves in the end. Other than that not a bad place to stay"
"Car park was small and very tight to manoeuvre. Be aware that it is not managed by Premier Inn and you need to download a parking app to use it (if you do actually find a space). Service was slow to check in (but he was friendly to be fair) although it was late at night so to be expected. Room smelled musty and the bed creaked very badly resulting in barely any sleep. The only saving grace was the staff at breakfast. Very attentive and friendly. The breakfast options were diverse and I checked out full of lovely food. Was only there for less than 12 hours."
"We stopped here as its close to Thorpe Park. Very easy to get to, good location, if you use the postcode they send take the left before it for the hotel or you end up in the flats behind the hotel. The car park is terrible, far too tight. If I drove my own car I wouldn't have got into it, also the app is useless. There is a pay meter on the lower floor though. The room was well looked after and was very comfortable. Great night's sleep. We used the 25 pound meal deal, 2 course dinner with a drink and breakfast, good value. Steaks are extra though and they were out of most of the included mains. Would stay again."
"The room I had was good, clean and tidy. Had booked the meal deal and went into the restaurant with my family, ordered a drink and when it came, there was lipstick stains on the glass so I had to send it back. The food was greasy and tastes funny- I put it down to the oil it was cooked in. When my mum went to use the loo in the reception area, they were out of soap so she found someone to say there was no soap and the person said “oh I only work in the restaurant” then walked off. My mum weren’t to find alternative loo’s and the same, no soap, but the lady she just spoken to was in there so my mum said there was no soap in here either and the staff member who had just came out of the loo, just put her hands under the tap and dried it and said she would get someone, and “ I only work in the restaurant “ and then walked out and said quite loudly, “oh for gods sake!” And walked out of the loo. By this time my mum was not impressed, and it was quite rude of the lady to say that. So my mum then went upstairs and saw a male distaff member who said that he was sorting it. My mum stressed that the lady who works in the restaurant should be using soap and there is none so how is that hygienic? It was sorted but not happy with his the female staff member she went about it. No need to be rude. Properly won’t stay again."
"A great inexpensive hotel. Service was a little slow at times as they seemed short staffed. The same guy checked us in, was later behind the bar and waiting tables for dinner, and was also single-handedly running the front of house for breakfast. Our room was clean and modern. There was a hair dryer but no safe. There are a few shops very close by, but apart from that there's nothing of interest in the local area. The hotel is a good option as a stopover or to use as a base as it's near major roads."
