"My daughter and her partner received the most fantastic care when she went to the Maternity Unit, every member of staff were caring, kind and extremely professional which in turn made my daughter feel confident and comfortable in their care. All staff, from security guard, to receptionist, to nurses, to midwife, to anesthetist, to surgeon were simply fantastic. Baby was born on Christmas Eve, and I couldn't have wished more for him than to be born with the lovely Maternity team around him, and for my daughter and her partner to receive the level of care that they did ❤️ ❤"
"I had a procedure this afternoon at the PRU , Day Surgery and cannot speak highly enough about all the staff. Truly lovely and kind. I had such confidence in one of the theatre nurses, no way would I have a limb removed or other procedure apart from planned one with her in charge. They were just great. Surgeon equally professional and kind."
"Had a trip to A&E this week following a chronic knee condition. Although I waited around 3/4 hours I was seen by a wonderful A&E doctor. Absolutely fantastic, put my mind at ease and even made me laugh! Helped deal with the problem very quickly and get the right referrals! Came away extremely impressed so thank you Anne!"
"Absolutely awful. My mother has been to hospital several times, this one several times, and though her experiences at this hospital are never good, she has never had an experience this appalling. My mother was crying and in a lot of pain, the result of a deficiency that is life threatening if not treated urgently. So, she called 111, who said an ambulance would be 17 minutes at most, however we didn't even see the ambulance pull up until almost 4 hours later. Further, the doctors with her were useless and had no clue what they were doing. She's in hospital for a few days after having blood transfusions, and when she comes home, it looks like the nurses have beat her. The nurses are absolutely appalling, having missed one of her injections several times, which was followed up by them then bursting her vein before they were able to successfully insert the needle. The staff are also rude, and highly patronising, they provide no support for the patients or the patients relatives. A previous time my mother was in this hospital it took us 3 hours to find what ward she was on because the nurses had no clue where my mother was, which is ridiculous. She has had more than 1 heart attack and has been promised emergency treatment and a kidney transplant as soon as possible, yet we have been waiting for these for 2-3 years now. She has made several appointments to help with her illness, but they get cancelled almost every time it comes remotely close to the day of the appointment. Quite frankly, if you're looking for good medical attention with polite and helpful staff, and you are given a choice, I would not recommend this hospital."
"Quite enjoyed my stay here, although I did get extremely claustrophobic the second night. Night staff were more attentive than day staff. Rachel the night nurse on Surgical Ward 8 is absolutely amazing. She kept me cheerful. I was at PRUH on Thursday 22 July 2021 until Saturday 24th July 2021. Please pass on my heart of thanks to Rachel. X Surgical Ward 8 has only 2 toilets on the ward for bay patients and these include showers. Only one toilet is perfect size, clean etc. Other one is small and sometimes dirty. Second toilet is not nice. Added photos regarding parking in the hospital grounds."
