"I walk past the sofa shop every day and was always curious to see their products on display. When I was in need to replace my sofa recently I decided to pay a visit. Their showroom is beautifully presented especially the cinema room. They mainly specialise in recliner sofas which I've never purchased before but once I saw and tested a few I grew into the idea of getting these myself. I met a nice chap called Danny who was very helpful and polite during my first visit. He explained it was a family run business and also made me aware that the majority of their sofas are air leather so not genuine leather. It is supposed to be some new technology which has not been available for too long but it's supposed to be more hard wearing than PU leather. They also sell genuine leather but much more expensive to purchase. I decided to have a good look around in the showroom and then returned with the Mrs later in the evening where I then met a chap called Kez. He let us get on with having a good look around and never pushed us with buying anything at the time. We went back home to have a think and even visited places like DFS, SCS, Sofology and a few other furniture places but nothing caught our eye at the time. The following week I went back to The Sofa Shop on a Saturday with the Mrs and met Kez again. He gave me the exact prices for the sofa we were interested and made us aware of the extra cost for the sofas to be delivered, involved a bit of assembly by the delivery guys and to take all the rubbish away. I would have thought that the price would be included as part of the price that it was advertised at so was confused and slightly hesitant with making the purchase at the time. Also there was an extra charge of £89 to have your old sofa to be taken away so didn't go ahead with that option. In the end I went ahead and gave Kez more than part payment in cash at the time and no receipt was provided but I was fine with this as he gave me assurance that everything will be fine and to relax. I was given a delivery date of Wednesday at the earliest which meant only a few days wait. The day before the delivery a chap rang me to confirm that delivery is still going ahead on Wednesday and gave me a gentle reminder of the outstanding balance that would need to be paid to the delivery driver. On the morning of the delivery day just after 6am I was sent a text message to say the delivery is on the way and would be delivered at some point in the afternoon or evening. Even though I live so close by to their showroom I had a feeling my sofas would be the last delivery they would make that evening and I was right. I was sent another text message at 4.30pm that they were almost a few stops away as I was waiting all afternoon. Finally it arrived just after 5.30pm and was greeted by 2 lovely delivery guys Baz and Luke. They were very respectful towards my property and were very friendly even though they had a long day. They carefully brought the sofas into the house and got it assembled in no time as just required a few pieces slotting into the right place. We need more delivery drivers like Baz and Luke in this country who have great personalities and were never grumpy at any point even though they had a long shift that day. They seemed very tired but still very friendly and talkative to have a conversation with us. I offered them some refreshments but they refused in a very humble manner. Baz quickly answered any queries I had about the sofas and gave me assurance that I won't have any issues with the mechanism of the recliners since I've never had these type of sofas before. Only time will tell how long these Air Leather sofas will last. I went for the 2x 2 seater recliner sofas in black and it looks absolutely stunning. I only needed them in my kitchen/diner area as I am limited to space as I have a small property. I love the idea of having all 4 seats that recline as we have 4 members in the household. "Ordered in August, didn't receive our set until end of October. Within 50 days the feet of the recliner started bending and the 3 seater felt like it was separating into 3 parts. Now the mechanism in the 3 seater has broken and won't close and rhe stitching is coming away. Have asked for them to send someone to repair under my warranty. Still waiting a response for that, any review i left on their Facebook was removed, looking at every post you can see they're deleting any negative comments which is suspicious. Over all nice looking but very cheap and flimsy sofas, will definitely not buy from here again. Giving 1 star as they're nice looking, but that's as much as you get for your money."
