"Lovely place. Lovely stuff inside. Friendly staff. A bit expensive, but exclusive."
"This place looks nice from the outside and has some nice pieces of furniture mixed amongst it. However I was totally put off by the customer service sadly, despite really trying to have a conversation with one of the sales assistants. My husband and I made an enquiry about one particular piece of furniture we were interested in to one of the shop assistants. The piece was aged, which is a look we like, and we wanted to know the history. The sales assistant unfortunately came across as rather rude when she informed us it was actually artificially aged (we like good furniture - mainly antique shopping- but sorry we are not furniture specialists ourselves) and made us feel as though we were asking a stupid question, pulling a face at us. We then proceeded to ask more about the history of the furniture such as who made it was it handmade, where made, what made from etc. and we were quite bluntly told that we were not allowed to know that information. To be clear we weren’t trying to lower the price or anything- just to find out more about something that would be an investment for us. I felt as though they weren’t interested in making a sale with us and just basically put us off even considering buying something from the shop. My husband and I tried hard to talk about the furniture but I think the assistant just came off as aloof. I can see a lot of comments about nice customer service so maybe the assistant was new or nervous but it was quite a bizarre experience and I must admit I felt a bit sad leaving. It also made me feel uncomfortable and wonder why we were being given a bit of the cold shoulder. From the reviews it looks like a one off and I wish the shop well, but it might be beneficial to customers to remember not everyone is a furniture expert and some basic information on material and origin is often asked about. The shop itself is beautifully laid out with some nice pieces."
"I walked into Mrs Robinson on the most recent bank holiday Monday in late August just to have a browse, with little intention of making any purchases. I was immediately taken with how incredible so much of the stuff was in this store. Then I saw the Marisol Wood and Metal Storage Cabinet and immediately fell in love with it. I purchased it there and then, and am absolutely delighted with how it looks in my home's hallway. What an absolute gem of a piece of furniture. Thanks so much too to the staff at Mrs Robinson for organising a next-day delivery, which was seamless. I highly, highly recommend this store for both stunning stuff and friendly staff. Here's to you, Mrs Robinson (bet nobody's done that before...) Jonny P"
"A beautiful little quaint hardware store for your bits and bobs to decorating your home. Very unusual things and not too expensive. The shop owner was friendly and welcoming. Go and have a look you would not regret it."
"I've spent a lifetime searching for washable coasters and finally found them...in a beautiful Japanese style pattern!!! My life is complete! Also love the furniture in this shop - quirky, vintage, industrial, stylish, interesting....and local!"
