"Visited northgate village surgery today and saw doctor Perarson and was seen In the most professional and caring way 10 out 10"
"What a terrible surgery this place has become. Due to my mental health I've recently found it hard getting my medication I need. Since new doctors have come in after covid the place has become a joke, I rely on my medication day to day just to get by in life. The new doctors have become dictators towards there patient's of late."
"Excellent. I moved from Garden Lane after 42 years after having so many problems to Northgate Village and they have been amazing every step of the way. Very simple things such as texting pictures and blood forms make things very simple. The receptionists are lovely and they have always gone above and beyond and the doctors are absolutely superb."
"I would highly not recommend the northgate village surgery to anyone. I was a patient with them for well over seven years since they moved from their location on northgate avenue (just for reference). The majority of their reception staff are rude and unprofessional and particular doctors don't care about their patients or their time. I don't want to go into too much detail about why I finally left this surgery but I will say it was from an appalling event from going to be told to wait in a dark room, to the doctor being late, unapologetic then just rude. To the receptionist being rude when rebooking the appointment. Furthermore, to add insult when I did complain about the incident, I was sent a letter back with accusations against me and they were giving me a warning. In that instance I knew then I needed to leave. For anyone still reading this, again, I would highly recommend not to choose this surgery when there are others in the same building which have slightly better reviews. I hope this has helped someone make their decision easier."
"Until recently, I had been a patient of Northgate Village Surgery since the mid 90’s (the Dr. McClure days). However after 24 years, I have regrettably had to leave this Surgery. Sadly, I witnessed the Surgery really go downhill. Waiting times are astronomical, they struggle to cater for appointments for people who work full-time. Each time you visited a Dr, you felt as though you were on a Conveyer Belt. They couldn’t wait to get you out of the room (most time I spent was 5 minutes), as they were running so late with appointments. A few times, I had an appointment scheduled for 8am. I would sit there for 20 minutes after the appointment time, then see the Dr wonder into work… I was really let down on 3 separate occasions with Drs not calling back when they should. I was supposed to be receiving a call – scheduled 2 weeks prior. I really needed to talk with them as I was having terrible side-effects from some medication. They never called… I ended up having to call 111 – thank god they were on hand to help. The final nail in the coffin was when I tried to make an appointment with the receptionist. She said the next appointment was in 11 days’ time, in the middle of the day. I explained that I was working so I’d struggle to attend that particular time. She then snapped “Well you’ll just have to wait a month, that is when the next appointment is”, purely plucked out of the sky. Grossly unhelpful. I have since moved to a different Surgery & it’s such a refreshing change, they are on the ball, waiting times are great, just like this Surgery used to be years ago. Thankfully the NHS has help on hand, such as 111, or the out of hours Service, to help mop up the problems found in some GP Surgeries."
