"Good range of products but often has long queues even if there’s plenty of staff milling about. If you’re considering getting a parcel delivered here though don’t bother. You have to wait a long time (10-15 minutes) because they can never find the parcels and say it’s because they receive too many. They’ve also lost my latest parcel which has been checked into the store and initially the manager was very confrontational about it like it was my fault! He didn’t want to listen to me and another member of staff had to intervene and go to double check it wasn’t there. The item is a vintage jacket so it can’t be replaced unfortunately."
"I am a regular customer at this shop My only issue with them is they are selling medjool dates with no country of origin on the box. Why is that? Go to Sainsburys or Morrisons they tell you where they're from and quite often it's Israel. Is the reason co-op aren't labelling the country of origin on these dates because they're from Israel and they know a lot of people would not want to buy them because of all the horrific persecution and killing of Palestinians? Any way its misleading customers not letting them know where the dates are from"
"I didn’t had any issues with the store and the products offered by Co Op. The one thing that bothered me is a Male Sikh Employee working in this Withington Road, Manchester Co Op (M168EE) store. Being myself Sikh, I went to this employee asking for help and unfortunately, he turned out to be entirely opposite. I had an amazon pickup on 4th Nov and it was my first collection from amazon lovkers. So I came accross this employee and he questioned me and humiliated me as if the order didnot belong to me. He asked me personal questions like what is in the order, why did you order it? He didn’t allow me to operate the lockers and kept on asking me questions with regards to my identity. I told him that I am not asked by amazon to get my id and why is he concerned to see my id? He didn’t listen and somehow he saw me getting agitated with his behaviour, he thought I am not the owner of the order and making up things. He started to ask more questions and then one lady employee working in Co Op, she signalled me to bypass him and operTe the lockers and finally I was able to. This is very humiliating as Co Op had very little engagement and involvement with regards to amazon lockers so employees should not interfere with the deliveries unless they are being asked to. I really want to complain against that man!"
"I live locally, and do my regular shipping there. Very convenient opening hours. The staff there is lovely and friendly. Being able to shop there during the sanitary situation made the lockdown easier."
"Very rude and aggressive manager, he puts staff to stare and laugh at customers and if you ask them is there anything wrong or something then the manager jumps in starts shouting and making threats for being rude to the staff accusing of stealing and driving them out of the shop. Obviously I called the police but they said they have been too many robberies in the shop and probably the manager is loosing the plot. I only felt sorry for the police and dropped the case, busy as they are. Of course no reply when I complaint to Coop food not even a case reference number. Rude aggressive and untrained manager of the shop. Avoid the place for your sanity and safety."
