"Downhill since it's gone to Nisa. I used to spend regularly here and now it's purely in emergency. Staff seem less professional, store isn't very tidy. Shut for a week to renovate but the same old damaged floor still there. Huge parts of fridge stay empty. Lots of options no longer available in low fat / fat free or such. No sandwich / lunch deals. Just a few off brand sandwiches in a corner. Big parts of fridge/freezer are all now ready meals and not ingredients. Feels like a gas station shop. "Off brand but paying premium" should be the motto. I was also pretty horrified to see all the eggs are cheap caged only with no free range AT ALL. Fresh bread continues to always be out of stock. I could go on. The good news is this change has now inspired me to go out shopping properly and is saving me money overall by going to Sainsbury's (believe it or not). So thanks for that?"
"Absolute disgrace shelves are always empty what an earth happened?"
"Completely agree with the other 1 star reviews here. I understood there'd be some problems with deliveries when they changed hands around Christmas and New Year, but it's late January 2023 and not much has improved. Staff there are just doing their jobs (can't blame them) but there's less choice with a higher price tag... Such a shame for Blackley."
"I loved the Co-op that used to be here and I was a regular for over 6 years. The staff there were always on top form, friendly and helpful and I always had a laugh when going in to get my local shopping. It was a nice and very friendly store with some great prices. However I agree with the one star review that was left recently as the store has been taken over by Nisa and what a massive difference. Gone is the lovely atmosphere and great staff that worked in the Co-Op and all that is left it empty shelves and a horrible vibe which is shame as it feels empty of what made co-op great. What is also shocking it the prices, like a bag of chips for nearly £5. I feel sorry for the staff there as its not their fault but such as shame seeing a great store vanishing only to be taken over by a lifeless one. If you want customers bring back the staff and the store that people liked."
"it is a shame what COOP has done here !! to replace a great shop with this "daughter firm" I was a regular at the old Coop and loved the fact that the Team did not change in the last 6 years ! Now the shelfs are half empty and the whole atmosphere is depressing . I feel sorry for those who depend on this shop . Thank god Tesco is only half a mile away"
