"Good space for children as there is not much in the city centre. Honestly I would have made the playground more colourful at the eyes of the children as it looks like built by Tim Burton."
"What a beautiful and excellent creation. What hat was once waste land has been transformed into an oasis of green. The river has been uncovered and weaves its way through the park which has been planted with a variety of trees and flowers. Lots of places to simply sit and enjoy the park. The park has a gated play area and interesting activity areas for children. A tiny hot drinks vendor started up today. It's a dog friendly park, though dogs should be kept on a lead other than when they're able to run free on the lawned area."
"What a fantastic new park! The fact that they have revealed the River Medlock and opened up its banks is tremendous and it sets the standard to other urban rivers! Highly recommended.. great places to sit and relax and watch the world go by or enjoy some activity in the central grassed area. Also, I wish I was a kid again to play on the well designed play area… which even has a slide and rope walk over the river?! Fantastic for kids! The only reason why it didn’t get full stars is because it looks like it’s waiting to be finished along the southern boundary, I wonder what it will look and feel like when the mixed use buildings are completed nearby?? Hopefully it won’t be overshadowed…"
"A great addition to manchester and a lovely bit of greenery in the city. I visited just after opening time and I'm pretty glad they have them in place too so it can be cared for properly. We'll worth a visit if your in the city centre"
"Truly one of the most stunning city parks I’ve seen. Love the mixture of industrial features interlinked with nature. A delight to behold and a park to treasure. With its fantastic play park, the river meandering its way throughout and it’s fantastic facilities (2x incredible disabled loos,) it will be a much loved open space for the people of Manchester and the surrounding area. Well done to all involved in its creation and preservation."
