"1st time visiting, on a chilling winter morning. Still looks glorious without the leaves and foliage. Plenty of ducks and geese. Great for walks. The woodland trail is a bit muddy at this time of the year, but not too bad. Nice cafe on site, well priced. Parking for cars is fairly priced too. Will surely visit in summer months the compare views."
"Gorgeous countryside park with some of the best facilities I've seen in a park. Amazing woodland and river views. Ideal for cycling (even beginners) and long walks. Picnic area about half way up the walking route with stunning views. Toilets are well maintained and parking is cheap (£2 for 4 hours). Never used the cafe other than to buy water but it always looks clean and the food looks good."
"Good for a peaceful walk early on very busy at peak times 10am onwards, plenty of options for distance including going round the Keg pool loop which is quite hilly but plenty of benches to take a rest. Plenty of bird life to spot. Also good as a cycling route if your fit. Remember change for car park which can get busy."
"Etherow Country Park is a family orientated place to visit as well for other groups of people whether your a group of friends, walkers, bird watchers it doesn't matter as it caters for all. Has a little cafe where you can buy allsort of refreshments and food items and in particular feeding the ducks. There are toilets at the entrance of the park. Etherow has lots to offer whether you enjoy feeding the ducks and geese, going for a walk as the park has some pretty amazing flora and fauna, as well as a waterfall. If you enjoy taking photos like I do, you have plenty of opportunity to do so. If you want to have leisurely sit-down and contemplate there are seating areas. There is opportunity to bring your fishing rod and see what you can catch. In the past Etherow Country Park was bustling with a variety events but since the pandemic this had died down but still you can have enjoyable time."
"Lovely country park, nice walk around the duck ponds and up to the waterfall, the forest is lovely to explore too. Parking ok, it gets busy at weekends and school holidays but we usually always manage to park up, there are toilets on both ends of the park which is handy with small kids, the cafe is nice too, reasonably priced and good selection. We usually buy duck food from the cafe to feed the ducks with."
