"The system of giving out prescriptions really needs addressing as it simply doesn't work. When handed in you are asked to wait in the foyer and given an approximate waiting time. All good so far. The issue arises when the prescription is ready. A name is called from behind a partition so to hear you need to be 2 foot away not in the foyer as requested. Maybe a number system or or least a tannoy system could be introduced."
"One of the slowest pharmacies ever. They should straight up remove Lloyds pharmacy and replace it with a different one. Lloyds and their people do not care neither. They could try to speed the process up. I do understand that they cannot be rushing as they can give out a wrong prescription however, waiting 1.5 hours for a tiny tube of cream where there were only 3 people in queue??? Hello? You do not have to rush the process, but you can at least walk at a normal speed, not the slug speed, and stop talking to any staff member who walks into the pharmacy. Also, a little smile would not kill. If you are in a hospital pharmacy of course you (the patient, or person responsible for a relative who's a patient) obviously won't be in great mood so to see someone smile to you and talk back nicely may visibly not make someone cheer and jump in the air out of happiness would it'd just feel different. It'd feel like people (like ALL people) are here to help, and those people are the staff members who we'd think are people who we can trust; irregardless of the department, you are in."
"I'm absolutely disgusted by the service or lack of from a member of the pharmacy yesterday (female, blonde hair, cream/white top with sparkly trim) I would have thought that an in-house hospital pharmacy would encourage their staff to be caring, empathetic and compassionate towards their customers. My sister has stage four cancer and needed some bonjela to help ease the pain of mouth ulsers. I had inquired if they had any adult bonjela because all we could see on the shelf was the infant type. The blonde woman got some from behind the counter and asked in a rather annoyed fashion, "is it for her?" gesturing to my sister in a hospital wheel chair. I said yes its for my sister. She asked "is she a patient ? " I assured the "assistant" my sister was the patient. Then she said "yes but is she on the ward because they (still don't know who "they" are ??) should know we can't sell it to patients without a prescription!" My sister doesn't get bonjela prescribed, and we hadn't spoke to anyone about going to get any, we just wanted to buy some to help soothe the mouth ulsers which are an unfortunate side effect of cancer treatment. I dont understand why they couldn't sell something as harmless as bonjela, I would understand if we were trying to purchase extra paracetamol or something that can be overdosed on. But the worst thing about the lack of service was the way the staff member gestured and spoke about my sister as if she wasn't there. My sister had been rushed to hospital with an infection earlier in the week and so we weren't expecting to pack everything she might need. We are wandering whats the point of an in-house pharmacy if they can't sell to patients, I cant imagine the local residents would want to use this chemist to purchase over the counter remedies when parking is at a premium, so who do they think they sell to ?"
"For those worried about hospital waiting times or appointment delays, worry no more as Lloyds Pharmacy will astound you with ineptitude and the slowest service you'll ever receive. Anywhere. Thankfully there's a place to grab a coffee whilst you waste your day waiting for the computer systems to work or the two tortoises fumbling their way behind the counter. Let's build the smallest and least efficient pharmacy ever inside a large West Yorkshire hospital. Scavenge the bins outside for your medication, it would be quicker."
"Female Pharmacist was rude, unpleasant and unhelpful. Didn’t want to help or give advice. If I’m honest it would appear that she didn’t know what she was talking about and had no knowledge! Won’t be using this chemist in the future."
