"This "leisure centre" destroyed my sister's swimming confidence. She was in Stage 5 when we had to transfer her here from Howe Bridge because they had no available convenient time slots at the time. The instructors here were rude, incompetent and disorganised and she kept coming out of the pool crying, complaining of their discouraging shouting. Also, nobody there seems to care about the official Learn2swim swimming lesson scheme, as for an unknown reason they said they were putting my sister back in Stage 4. We are back at Howe Bridge now and she is still in Stage 5, but is not the swimmer she used to be. She still comes out of the pool crying pretty much every week and keeps saying she wants to quit swimming lessons. I would not return to this leisure centre afterwards, even for a casual swim."
"Was here for a karate comp. Guess due to place restriction comp was organised on ground and first floor- super chaotic and announcements were not audible- you need to keep checking. The location is very good -easy access to motorway, and there is Morrisons just round the corner, to get snacks and stuff. Leisure centre staff very professional and friendly."
"Very reasonably priced entry but short and set sessions. Clean and pleasant facilities. Nothing to complain about. Staff always happy to help"
"Went swimming water is usually cold but it was a good temp the day I went and I picked a good time when the kids were at school. A few people in but not too many"
"Went to a model railway exhibition very good"
