"I booked a helicopter flight with Hields Aviation as a surprise Birthday treat for my partner. Firstly I’d like to say a very Big Thank You to Sam in the office who organised it even though I rang the day before and then due to difficulties had to do the same the following week. She was so helpful and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. I was slightly worried if I’d done the right thing as my partner is nervous of flying in planes so I didn’t actually tell her what was happening until we arrived at the Aerodrome in Sherburn. After her initial shock of seeing the helicopter, she actually ended up sitting in the co-pilot seat which surprised me. I’d had a word with Barry, our pilot who was such a great, friendly guy and he said he would take it nice and easy and also fly over our village as well. We set off and Barry’s flying was brilliant and so professional. True to his word, it was so smooth that within minutes I couldn’t believe my partner was actually enjoying it… no…not just enjoying it… she was absolutely loving it. The views were amazing and sure enough Barry did pass over our house in Riccall and gave us plenty of time for a fantastic view of the village. When we landed we both wanted to do it all over again. I’ve a feeling we will be returning again for another flight as I’ve now had 3 days of hearing how it was “the best present ever”. Highly recommended whether looking for something different as a gift for someone or just as an amazing experience for yourself if you’ve never been in a helicopter before."

"A father's day present found us having a lovely tour over York and the surrounding countryside today. Parking is on-site. We were greeted nicely and shown to the office on arrival. After the pleasantries we were shown the obligatory safety video which was also explained personally. Without delay we were taken to the helicopter and introduced to our very friendly and pleasant pilot. We had a further necessary safety talk and we then took some photos. Shortly after being strapped in we took off and headed towards York. The views were great. Our young children were so excited by everything that could be easily seen. The experience was great value for money and we highly recommend booking it, either for pleasure, or to have a lesson."
