"Shocking customer service. Nails badly chipped after 3days, they tried to charge £15 to have repainted. I was treated with the utmost disrespect and made to feel uncomfortable and intimidated whilst staff members discussed me. Staff were then very rough whilst painting my nails. Would give zero stars if it allow."
"Overestimates the worth of designs, ridiculously overpriced. £5 to add 3 black lines onto 2 nails. Take no notice of "special offers" as additional charges for said designs inflates price. Finished product is terrible, over-filled and raised. Wonky in places and undernails poorly fitting, real nails left clearly visible. All of this to a child, so also a lack of care. Taking advantage of her lack of experience, it was rushed and careless. My daughters first experience of nail salons - ruined. Avoid at all costs"
"Worst experice I have ever had from a nail shop. £43 for some plastic gems that fell off within 24 hours. Refused to give any financial refund for the poor service and even egged other customers to verbally attack us. Got the gems stuck back on after a lot of talk. Was assured the new glue was stronger and would last. They came off the next day again. This place lied to us and stole our money."
"Got my nails done at MY Nails in Romford on Sunday the 11th, beautiful sand coloured gels with a few stone-looking plastic bits on top. I left the salon very happy with the result which I paid £43 for. Disappointment arrived soon though when the first stone fell off the next day. So I texted the salon straight away through Instagram and they very nicely offered for me to pop by on that same day to get it sorted. I forgot to reply but I knew I couldn’t make it anyway as I’m based in Stratford, so could not make it before their closing time anyway. Let’s just point out that even if I was based in Romford I wouldn’t have been able to go anyway as I’d have to travel to central London for work and would only get back after closing time. So I replied on Thursday (after 5 more stones had fallen off) saying I’d be around again Saturday seeing family in Romford, but didn’t mention the extra stones falling off as I was happy to get to an agreement with them on the day rather than via messages. Saturday (17th) comes and I pop by the shop. Obviously quite a lot more disappointed now as I had missing stones on my nails for the whole week, which isn’t the look I was going for. I was going to ask at least for a refund of the difference (£18) as I was still happy to pay for the gels job (£25) but wanted them to just get rid of all the stones and give my nails a nice gel finish. I obviously didn’t get that. They just re-stuck the fallen stones with a “stronger” glue this time, which I questioned why wasn’t the stronger glue used the first time around if, according to them, the stones don’t last as long when applied on gels compared to acrylics... which I got no answer for. The stones were re-stuck a week later after they did a poor job and I still had to be thankful they did it for free. Or so I was told. Let me also mention when the stones were re-applied directly where they had fallen off, because of the previous glue still remaining on the nails giving the surface an emboss, the new stones weren’t sitting flat, so I now have wonky stones on with visible glue around the edges. Dodgy job that obviously can’t notice straight away, but I can see every-time I look at my nails, and why should I just accept that? It is very frustrating to get a poor job done and see businesses not own it and get away with it, I paid £43 a week ago now, had ugly nails for the whole of the first week AND, DON’T MISS THIS: one of the re-stucked stones has fallen already, just overnight... I had them all on before going to bed and woke up to one missing already! So I decided to publish this little story straight away as soon as I woke up and realised... I’d love to try again and pop by the salon again today, and I will probably be blamed myself for picking them or told how easily they fall just by grabbing your bag or bashing my hand somewhere. Sorry but loosing a stone 24h after it’s been applied - not cool and not worth £43. (Photos are from this morning, the morning after i got the stone glued down with the “stronger” glue, and a close up of one of them sitting very wonky)"
"Awful - never again!!! Second time I’ve had a shellac at this salon and both times all nails bar 2 have chipped or peeled off completely within 4 days! First time I didn’t complain, this time I did but because it was 9 days since they were originally painted they refused to re-do them free of charge - what was I supposed to do, fly back??? They peeled off 2 days into my holiday. They said it was ‘too much water’ - I didn’t even go into the sea or swimming pool so if having a daily shower is too much I’m speechless! Shocking customer service, won’t ever be going back."
