"I found myself in an extremely dire and difficult personal position where subsequently I had to sell my home and relocate to another part of the country as soon as possible. I first met Marie, who visited my home to undertake a valuation and to talk through the service that Edlin & Jarvis provides. I found Marie to be highly professional and knowledgeable, both of which were greatly appreciated, especially in my unique predicament and due to my lack of experience and understanding in this area. I had four other companies visit to undertake a valuation and overview of their services, but simply put I felt none came close to Edlin & Jarvis. My property was quickly listed on the company website as well as on other property listing websites as discussed at the valuation. I thought all the listings were clear, straightforward and a good honest representation of my property. I feel the listings were exactly what they should have been for my property. Very promptly, interest in my property formed and subsequently Becca, who was dealing with my sale, was really proactive and friendly in helping me arrange viewings and times to fit around my commitments. When offers were received, Becca was again really supportive and proactive in dealing with everything and liaising with me, so no party was left in the dark or kept waiting, which again was perfect for me due to my personal situation at the time and lack of experience. I felt this approach really eased some of the stresses I was experiencing. Through no fault of Edlin & Jarvis, my transaction experienced a variety of problems, some of which were really genuinely hard to deal with, but I felt reassured and supported throughout, and most importantly, Becca and Marie genuinely seemed to care about me and my sale. My own health dictates that chasing parties for progress and updates is really quite difficult, but Becca who was primarily dealing with everything behind the scenes and communicating with me seemed really understanding of this. Again Becca was very supportive throughout and I feel really tailored the service to my needs which I was really pleased with and thankful for. Just prior to exchange of contracts, my conveyancing company fell victim to a crippling cyber attack and this posed severe problems and difficulties, most concerning of which was that I was in danger of losing my onward purchase. However I was kept fully updated at all times by Becca and she put a massive amount of time and effort into seeking progress and resolving queries, frankly far beyond anything I could have hoped for and I was very grateful for this considering, at least in my experience, that the vast majority of companies seem to do only the bare minimum. Eventually we reached the day of completion, but then a serious issue suddenly arose when I was on the way to my new property, whereby my buyer’s lender had frozen their mortgage funds needed to purchase my property. No explanation of why was provided, how long a resolution might take or whether it would even be able to be resolved! Both Marie and Becca worked really hard on resolving the problem and liaising with all the appropriate contacts. I was very lucky as Marie knew very well the local firm of solicitors my buyer was using for their purchase and this proved really useful in resolving the problem swiftly. Overall I feel the service was brilliant and the customer service and support I received throughout from Becca was nothing short of exceptional! And this is from someone who rarely writes reviews and even less so writes much in the way of compliments, but credit where credit is due. Whilst you may pay marginally more using this company over another, I feel the little bit extra is absolutely worth paying, for the truly comprehensive local knowledge and absolutely fantastic customer service and support above all else. I would 100% recommend Edlin & Jarvis to anyone within the area covered."
