"Basic service, not bad but not worth £42. Leaning forward rather than leaning back to have hair washed is annoying as shirt and face also gets wet. Would prefer if they listened more when I describe what way I want my hair cut lol"
"I had a walk in appointment as I had some time to kill and the decor looked impressive. The service wasn’t great in terms of booking an appointment, with delays for no apparent reason (salon was empty, told to come back in 20 minutes, staff just stood around). I could excuse this if the haircut was good. The haircut I received was poor. The barber was grumpy and despite being told what I wanted, seemed to think his own ideas about length and shape were better than mine and pressed ahead. The haphazard way he used the scissors seemed to demonstrate that he thought cutting confidently and quickly was more appropriate than taking care and using a proper process. Using thinning scissors is always a sign that a barber doesn’t know what he’s doing and is trying to hide poor scissor work. I now have an extremely wonky fringe with one side that is far far too short and will take several months to grow back to a length that a proper cut can fix. For £38, I’d expect a 60 minute cut. The barber was done in 25 minutes. All in all, I wouldn’t go back to this salon and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to someone. A hot towel at the end doesn’t make up for 2 months of botched hair!"
"Have been visiting Adam Fitzrovia branch for a couple of years now and it’s hands down the best barber salon around. No fancy showy rubbish, just brilliant a haircut, beard trim and hot towel shave delivered with professionalism and care every single time. Complimentary drink is a lovely touch too. It’s my favourite hour of the month… and I always leave feeling refreshed and great."
"I was recommended this place by a local from London. When I came in for the first time, they had a very welcoming staff. Once my barber Berkay had begun, he made sure I was comfortable and knew exactly what I wanted! He did an amazing job. He was so meticulous he even did the hairs around my ears! I truly loved it! I would definitely recommend to anyone and would go again."
"I don’t normally write reviews, but I have never felt so angry after an haircut. For a start, the barber hardly spoke any English - one of the few sentences he could say was: “yes, please” in a variety of seemingly unrelated contexts. Secondly, I have expressed concerns over an area where I am balding and he laughed at me, then proceeded cutting my hair without a care in the world for what I said - result: the bald patch was even more evident after he cut my hair. Thirdly, I paid £38 for a walk in “director’s cut” which supposedly included many services such as a neck massage, ear flaming etc and I got none of those despite NO reduction in price (see similar reviews from other people). Fourth, the barber brushed my hair back and forth so hard during my haircut that my skin actually feels irritated, and showing no care in the world for what I was feeling, despite my face was definitely NOT HAPPY. I have never seen a barber’s hand move faster. He put products on my hair without asking me whether I wanted it or not. The list goes on. I tried them just because they were listed by GQ as one of the best barbers in London, but the quality must have plummeted since when the review was written. I’d say it’s actually a challenger for the worst I have tried. I will never go to them again."
