"I am very reluctant to post this but I feel I have to share this experience as it was so bizarre. I came to this salon after trying for many years to go to a curly hair specialist in London to get my hair highlighted and cut by people who had the same hair textures as me and who knew my hair type well. I came a few months ago for an initial consultation where I explained and showed the picture below of natural brown hair with small amounts of subtle highlight. I like my hair to look as if it has been sunkissed to bring out my natural colour, which I have always loved. After waiting 2 months for an appointment I was very excited to go on Saturday. My hairdresser wanted to use bleach to achieve my desired natural look, I insisted that high lift tint would be fine. After highlights were put in and my hair was washed I noticed my hair looked unnaturally bleached. After it was dried it turned a very white off tone bronze bleach (see below) I left the salon in shock and quite upset but I called and asked what I could get done to try and amend. I knew I would never see my natural hair for a long time after I spent a long time growing out relaxer from years ago. They said they could do low lights. I went in again today and low lights were put in, much darker than my natural hair colour to hide the bleach blonde. It’s fine for now as I know it will eventually grow out. I insisted I would like a refund for the highlight (not the cut) and after arguing for 15 mins the stylist reluctantly agreed. Even the stylist was confused at the bleach picture which she had done. I had to show the time stamps to make her believe that she had done that to my hair. I would like an explanation as to what actually happened to my hair after I showed NO pictures of a bleach blonde look and did not want my hair bleached. Was high lift tint even used?"
