"I have been a client for many years at Avalon following COVID situation I have not been back choosing to have my hair done at home. However, I received a text message inviting me for a cut and style at a discounted price with their Director, Natalya. I took them up on the offer and I am delighted with the results. I have a great hair cut and will definitely return to Natalya. So looks I'm back Avalon. :)"
"I have been having my haircut by Debbie and her team for many many years and cannot fault her skills and the professional way she runs her salon. Even after knowing her for so long, she still treats me like she would a new client and always listens to my requests ( I usually go with a picture and she always reviews and gives advice as to whether it would suit me ! ) If she is on holiday and I need a cut then her team are great in filling in for her. My colour is always as I expect it to be and the blow dry finish gorgeous. Cant recommend enough !"
"As a disclaimer, I work as an acupuncturist in the treatment rooms at the back of the salon. But I have been a client since before graduating, and have always been really happy with my haircuts. Most recently the lovely Fran tidied up my Covid-wild hair, with a perfect understanding of the intricacies of very fine hair. The salon has a lovely atmosphere and they take disinfecting and PPE very seriously, which is obviously very important to me as a health professional."
"I am in absolute shock and cannot believe how badly this salon has treated my mother, I honestly cannot believe that someone can treat another human being so badly and for the record I did not continuously say "certain words" to you on the phone yesterday I used one particular word ONCE to describe my moms hair there is a very big difference. Debbie you should be ashamed of your behaviour and the treatment of other people. How can you run inside the salon and lock the door?because my mom got upset because she is at a loss of what to do with her hair as she doesn't know how to live with it because it is so badly damaged. She came to you this morning out of desperation to ask for help after I tried to speak with you yesterday on the phone and all you could do was continuously talk over me and ramble on about how we should know that perms damage the hair and that as non qualified hairdressers we are supposed to know all the bad things that can happen when you have certain treatments done. Surely if this is the case we could all just be hairdressers? You should be ashamed of your behaviour towards other people. You offered no solution, no plan, not even a word of sympathy that another human being feels so low and horrible about themselves. Instead when my mom got upset you ran inside the salon and locked the door, what did you think she was going to do? she was upset not angry. Absolutely shocking behaviour. You offered no help to her when she came to see you this morning and all she wanted was some help in how to move forward and fix her hair. All you could do was blame her and say that she should know because apparently everyone knows how highlights mess up perms, Apparently this is something everyone knows?! I tried to call you to reason with you to find out what happened as I have a mother who is about to turn 60 who feels absolutely horrible about herself and all we wanted was a plan to fix her hair. You want to take no blame or responsibility for what has happened and I am at a complete loss on how to move forward with this. Surely as the professional you are the one who needs to take some responsibility for the perm going wrong and not asking the correct information. How can you be happy letting someone walk around feeling lower than low about themselves and running in your salon and hiding, i've never known such ridiculous behaviour. I am deeply saddened that there are people out there who are happy to treat others this way. It really does break my heart that my mother is left to pick up the pieces. You have blamed the entire situation on my mothers lack of knowledge when it comes to hair and assumed that my mother would know all the relevant facts about having a perm done. I wonder what a hairdressers role is then? Btw the pics below show my moms hair and how it is now and how she has to walk around, Debbie said this morning it actually looks "very nice" and looks "lovely""
"Totally shocked to hear the experience that my family member had as a customer at Avalon. Surly, Avalon you understand that as a customer, we put our faith and trust in your team as we believe you are experts. I am upset to hear that you blamed my family for the final result of the hair - when as a qualified professional, it is your duty to ensure you ask the right questions and inform your customers of the risks and benefits of particular treatments. You have provided absolutely no resolution, no care or compassion to the situation and allowed a customer to leave the salon totally devastated. I have attached photos below - as this is the state that her hair ‘has to be left in’ as instructed by the hairdresser, any further heat styling or dying will continue to damage the hair further. I do not understand how you felt it was right to allow a customer to leave the salon with the hair in this condition? Beyond disappointed and completely let down. Please anyone before visiting be careful"
