"This was my first time visiting, I read the reviews and I was hopeful for a positive experience but without exhaggerating this was the worst blow dry I have ever had in my life. I called in advance to check the price and I explained that I have very long thick curly hair, I was told this would cost me £30 for a wash and blow dry but when I arrived the owner told me it would be £35 as my hair was thicker than he thought. I had the young boy do my hair, the wash was rushed and water was too far down my forehead, he did not attempt to comb my hair properly before starting to blow dry and just yanked at it with a brush as he went along. I did advise that my type of hair would need extra serum before he starts as it frizzes otherwise, for the amount of hair I have the two pumps of serum was not enough and I had to add it myself at the end. My hair was not towel dried properly so my top was soaking wet from behind and dripping onto my jeans as I sat there, this kind of moisture will cause curly hair to frizz. I had to ask for a new towel. I paid for a blow dry but was I got was 5 seconds worth of blow dry per section, there was no love or effort put into the blow dry, it certainly was not blow dried straight and he tried to mask it by using the heat straighteners over and over which everyone knows is damaging for the hair. On a few occasions he accidentally lost grib of the hair dryer which dropped on my head, it didn’t hurt but it was just embarrassing as it caught me off guard. I am really annoyed with myself that I actually paid for such a bad job and didn’t say anything at the time, I felt bad because he was a young boy and I did not want to hurt his feelings. I really did not want to leave a bad review but after just an hour my hair turned into a frizz bomb and curled up because it was not blow dried properly. I have given two stars because although the blow dry was awful the salon itself looked nice and the owner was very friendly but if you love your salon please give the young boy more training!!! I can’t believe you sat there and watched such a bad job being done!"
