"Wortley Post Office and General Stores is run by a really nice couple and has a good range of products available apart from the Post Office side of the business. Bottle of wine or a beer for the evening? A nice bit of cake? A magazine or postcard... This place could save you a supermarket run if you're in the area. They even do firewood and kindling. Bike hire or repairs? This is the place!! We popped in a couple of times while staying in the area for a few days. The first time for local postcards to send to our grandchildren in the States and the second for some supplies & goodies. We ended up having quite a chat. Did I say they also run the B&B next door? Well, they do!! Well worth calling in. They have far more than you'd expect and we all need to support our village shops, don't we??"
