"A good, well-stocked and very friendly small supermarket. We'd be lost without it!"
"There were two shops in Cop. One was a proper, independent 'village shop' and Co-op was known as 'the other one'. The independent business closed when C19 started (I think that the owners had a vulnerable family member) and now we're stuck with this thing. It's the only shop in the village and the blonde cashier makes sure the customers remember that by making passive-aggressive comments every now and again. On top of that it's not really a shop: They have 3 types of packed cheese, 4 types of packed bread and 1 type of flour but about 70 types of crisps and 50 ciders. No joke, crisps and booze take up half the place. I've personally moved on and do my shopping at Tesco's which is a 5 min. drive. Fingers crossed the proper shop reopens soon."
"I called in this evening to buy a pot of soured cream because we were having chilli con carne with rice. Unfortunately I dropped it at the self check out and it split and was distributed widely! A young lady came over and I explained that I had been having a bit of nightmare and did it by accident. I offered to pay for it as well as a replacement but she dismissed this idea. While I purchased a second pot she spent time on her hands and knees cleaning up the mess. This assistant went the extra mile for customer relations and deserves a medal as far as I am concerned. Thank you, Copmanthorpe Coop."
"Excellent range of products on our door step and really like the fresh rolls and pastries"
