"WORST CARE, DON’T GO! No care for any patients in the blue ward of A&E. Nurses such as Brendon (older man with an awful ponytail) were more bothered about cleaning and turning over beds than making sure the patients were comfortable. Surely porters and cleaners can sort out the beds. 19 hours and over 90 seizures later and nothing was done to help. We already knew that a EEG was needed before getting there, but it took the inadequate need for nearly 11 hours to go by before being seen by a medic to be told that an EEG was needed. Then fast forward another 12 hours and nothing had still been done to help. A porter also found a female patient on Facebook from using patient records without her knowing and requested to follow her which must go against the NHS regulations. Absolutely appalling way to treat patients, truly degrading place and needs to be sorted. DEATH will occur there due to the incompetence and laziness of the majority of the medical staff."
"The receptionist really don't care. Any enquiry about yourself would just be go ask the nurse, go tell the nurse. Waited for 7hrs nearly 8hrs to be seen by a clinician. All the first assessment was done very swiftly less than 2hrs after booked in. The rest of the wait is for a clinician. The ratio of clinician and nurses just don't par. My bf came in with a chest pain he left this place with the same amount of info he came in with. I came in this place with hope I left this place with tears from mental and physical exhaustion I genuinely think I would lose my mind if I don't leave after that clinician drop in. This A&E need reform."
"It started well, I got seen pretty quickly. Very lovely nurses and a friendly dr. Got some tests done pretty quickly and then it began. I waited 6h (waiting time at this point 2h46min) until I decided it’s worth asking how much longer do I need to wait. Reception was extremely rude. Nurses trying to be kind but no help from their side. The doctor that treated me already left and a bunch of new drs arrived. These guys were useless - it seemed they were picking the easiest and the least urgent cases. People fainting or in excruciate pain were left without any help. Other patients were offering water etc. Doctors just passing by in no hurry. Oblivious. Really hard to watch. I asked a nurse surrounded by not so busy looking doctors if I could get a prescription as I just wanted to go home. She declined and told me I had to wait but she didn’t know how long. I left with no treatment. It was a very painful experience watching how badly the A&E department is being ran."
"We were there last night for my husband's condition, waiting time was around 11 hours. We left without being seen because it was impossible for him to sit and wait due to his pain. There's some deeply wrong in having to wait for 10-11-12 hours in an EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT."
"Aside from the nurses, the staff are rude, have no compassion and overall disgusting much like others have said on here. They don't care, don't give people the attention and care they need. You're told something is going to happen and 8 hours later you're sat there waiting for said thing to happen. My mum was taken in very ill and we were obviously very emotional and wanted her to get help but it just didn't happen. A member of the desk staff said to us very abruptly that there were no beds and they were very busy 'as we could see'. Wheres the compassion? The drinks lady is also very rude don't know who she thinks she us. Avoid at all costs. I hope all those staff members never find themselves needing care one day as they're more than likely going to be left in a corner to suffer. Disgraceful."
