"My Autisic son was booked in for a blood test today, with his autism he gets stressed about the Drs & especially a blood test, for that reason I didn’t tell him until a hour before his appointment, still he was stressing about. Arrived to be told haven’t you had notification the appointments been cancelled (if I had had a notification I wouldn’t of been there). Said how stressful he gets & wanted to see someone else, but no appointments till tomorrow. Thank you so much Rushall for making my son have a stressful day."

Whenever I have rung I have never been made to feel that I could see or get advice from a doctor. The receptionists are always entirely professional as well as personable and understanding. "Over the last few months my son has had some difficult health issues, the reception team at Rushall have been truly amazing, always trying to get him an appointment with the most appropriate practitioner, in a timely fashion. They have taken the time to listen so that where needed face to face appointments have been provided. But most recently after a truly awful experience at The Manor Lena took the time to talk to me, provide practical help, calm me down, and reminded me that I'm not alone, Thank you Rushall Reception Team"

"Where to begin! First off, I have no issue with the concept of telephone appointments but when it comes to children, and symptoms that will clearly need face to face examination, they are simply a waste of time. I had a phone call for my son at 9am this morning and was told they wanted to see him in person, and the only appointment available that day was at 11:10am. Coincidentally, I also had a phone appointment arranged for myself at 11am that day, but my son is clearly my priority and I assumed the surgery would be able to assist me. I arrived at 10:45am to explain my situation. I could see the Dr I was due to talk to physically walking around in the same building. I asked if my appointment could be changed to a face to face considering I found myself here for my son, and was told this was not possible! I was told I would have to take the call as normal to which I replied that I didn't feel it was acceptable to expect me to sit in a waiting room full of strangers and discuss my problems! The only solution apparently was to delay my call until after my son's appointment so that I can take it in private! Fast forward to 45 minutes late for my 18 month old son's appointment, the receptionist informs me that the Dr does not have availability to call me later today and the options are either I take a call now (meaning the doctor who is sitting in a room 3 foot away from me will dial my number and I will answer it in a full waiting room) OR it will need to be re-arranged until next Tuesday. Even if I wanted to tell the whole of Rushall what was wrong with me, it was simply unviable as I was awaiting my son's name to be called any minute. I fail to see the issue here. What possible reason would there be for not allowing me to walk 3 foot to see the Dr face to face. I did not attend the surgery in person out of spite or defiance, I found myself there for my son and was put in an impossible situation to which the surgery was completely obstructive and most unhelpful. I'm in absolute shock at frankly the pure lack of common sense that seems to exist in this place."
