"Dreadful and deceitful. Booked a return trip to the airport, chose Cobham Cars based on the price they quoted. Rang to confirm the day before the outward journey and the same price was again confirmed however on arrival at the airport we were told they weren't going to honour the price and had instead decided to charge a totally different amount. Told them on the phone how unacceptable this was and that we would write a review to warn other people about this and was told "Go ahead" and then hung up on. So here's the review. Do not use this company based on an agreed price because they probably won't honour it. The operator is rude and the company completely unprofessional."

"DO NOT USE THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A TAXI COMPANY We pre ordered a car for 2.30am (the middle of the night) to take us and our very little children to the airport. The guy arrived 10 minutes early and aggressively asked us to hurry up. He said he had another booking. We rushed out (honestly at 2.25am) with a 5 year old and 3 year old. Half way down our road, my wife said in the rush she had forgotten the kids sleep monitor (a must have) which was the last thing to pack (we had been using it!). Also my little girls doll she takes everywhere and sleeps with every night. The driver KICKED OFF. Saying no way is he going back, called my child ridiculous (it took everything in me not to drag the driver out the car). He reluctantly turned around, in an aggressively and fast manner. My wife said then to me she felt unsafe. The driver heard and said GET OUT MY CAR THEN. Unlike my wife, she said fine, I'm not willing to put my children's safety at risk. THE DRIVER STOPPED, OPENED THE BOOT AND LEFT ME, MY TWO CHILDREN AND MY WIFE STANDING IN THE STEET WITH OUR LUGGAGE AT 2.30AM. What is worse, the office the next day called me a liar, said I was aggressive and they were not 'taking sides'. The owner didn't even have the spine to put his name in an the email (all available on company's house). I launched a complaint with Elmbridge Council. Our parking at Gatwick cost £400 as it was last minute. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE ARE IN FINANCIAL RUIN AS IT IS, HERES HOPING A NEW OPERATOR COMES IN."

"Absolutely astronomical prices - 2.2 miles journey for £22 on a Monday evening. It was eye wateringly expensive - please bare this in mind before booking so you don’t get a horrible surprise as we did. I have never paid this much even in Central London. Pretty gobsmacked as we were in the cab for a grand total of 4 minutes"

"If your are getting a later train and assuming you’ll get home by taxi, I would make back up plans or get home via a different station like Leatherhead. On 2 occasions they’ve had no cars available nor have the app based taxis meaning long, dark, country walks home! On the occasion I did manage to get a car via them, the service was good."

"We booked a taxi in advance for 5 people to go from cobham to London at 11.30pm on a Saturday. We were quoted £85. The driver said as we were getting in the car that it would actually be £105 because we were 5 people. We said that was not correct and then showed him the email which clearly stated we wanted a taxi for 5 people and the return email including the quote for £85. We were told to ring the office because there was nothing the driver could do. The essence of our conversation with the office was that they had basically changed their minds and decided to charge more. When my friend explained that we weren’t happy as we had been promised a different price in writing and we would be leaving a bad review, the lady in the office genuinely said ‘well in that case I’ll cancel your booking…’. We then said that we really do need the taxi because one of us had a young baby at home so we would reluctantly accept the new fare. Anyway here we are leaving a bad review in the hope that others aren’t taken advantage of by Cobham cars."
