"I am using my husbands account. This review is by Nicki Dowie. I'd booked for a CACI facial but was told Genie was much better on the phone. I was advised that I would have my face analysed and possibly need a facial before we started the course. When I got there the beautician discussed my current skincare routine, and she said she would check what was in them. I use Elemis so I was expecting her to confirm they are ok. She mentioned all the products I would need and I informed her I was concerned about the cost mounting up, though she didn't really take this in. Once settled onto the heated bed and covered in a duvet she cleansed my face and advised it was dehydrated and repeated the products I would need. I explained I'd just topped up my Elemis supplies, so I wouldn't be interested in buying today. She then disappeared downstairs, for what seemed like 10 to 15 mins , told me to relax and that she was just checking what was in my products. When she returned she had a list of products I should use morning and night. She had included two of mine but added the ones I must buy, two of which cost £80 each, or she wouldn't allow me to do the Genie facial. She claimed it wouldn't last if I didn't follow the routine she recommended and that the clinic didn't want to "just take my money". I have since looked up the products and found them £40 cheaper each, elsewhere. I asked whether she could do anything for me? We agreed on a derma facial, which was fine, but overall the experience was poor and I have been to better salons throughout the UK. As a Mum of 4, I hadn't had a facial for a while and was looking forward to investing in some "me time", not buying products that I didn't want to buy and being denied the facial that I'd asked for. I didn't complain at the time as I was still in shock and really, just wanted to get out of there."
