"Had a fabulous full body Sports Massage today at Birkdale Spa Lounge. It's hard to find someone you feel knows what their doing but here I felt they knew exactly what they were doing. The therapist mixed several techniques customising it to suit what my body needed. I've had many massages of the years and this is one by far I'll be visiting again. Thank you"
"This initially looked like a great place, but it is not really a spa, it's a small shop on Birkdale highstreeet with good pictures. I was welcomed by a lovely receptionist, and had a full body massage booked at 11:15. Unfortunately at 11:30 I was still sat in the overly hot window awaiting to go in. A beautician did explain that they were running behind but don't worry I will still be out by 12:15!!! Not what I expected.when booking a relaxing 1 HR massage. It all appeared a little too rushed with a lot going on, such as a mobile aesthetics clinic run from the salon also with ladies chatting at reception not looking very professional. Overal I never got to experience the massage which was a shame. The lady explained to me that this was due to the fact the previous lady had over run, but again as a customer their timekeeping should not be made my issue. When I said I'd leave it the lady offered me a shorter massage due to the late start of my booking. I decided to leave it today but this really is something that any salon should be accounting for within their timing schedule."
