"This hotel is basic. The location was perfect in the city centre, nice walk to and from town. But the hotel itself is really basic. We only paid £40 for the night and I wouldn't pay any more than that. The floors were hard flooring, the sink in the room, you can't swing a cat in the shower. No kettle. No glasses for water. Really it was OK for what we needed which was to sleep in, but to get ready or relax it's a no go. Had I paid any more for this, I would have wanted my money back."
"For a cheap one night stay, right at the heart of where we needed to be, this hotel provided exactly what we needed. We required an accessible hotel as close to the venue we were visiting as possible. The lack of on-site parking didn't matter as we were dropped off right outside the front entrance. Although there was an expanse of steps from the drop-off area, there was ramp access at both ends which was suitable for the mobility scooter. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. The room itself was suitable, with enough space for us and the mobility scooter, although the elevator was extremely small and certainly challenging for getting in and out with the mobility scooter. The bed was definitely more comfortable than anticipated and far better than some other budget hotels we've used in the past. Although the rooms don't have their own tea/coffee making facilities, there was easy access to hot drinks in the main lobby. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, at just under £9 per person, we were expecting something a bit more substantial & interesting than a basic continental breakfast. There was a selection of cereals and bread/pastry products, drinks etc, but they're clearly providing generic cereals and mini-pastries. We can only assume that they may provide something more substantial at the weekend and just simple continental on weekdays (we checked out on Monday after breakfast). We would certainly use this hotel again if we are visiting that particular area, but we wouldn't bother with the breakfasts unless we are guaranteed a proper meal."
"I think Ibis is missing an opportunity to capture a wider audience by simply taking their room price down. While rooms and clean, basic, and convenient, price is high. Yes, cheaper than competition but still high and for a small extra you can stay more central or have a higher end room. Almost the only hotel that takes pets in Leeds more or less affordably, I always recommend Ibis, but in this case room prices are certainly out of the average Ibis range elsewhere."
"Absolutely shocking. The room was disgraceful and dirty, the sink is based next to the bed, lights around the room not turning off, the shower is also located next to the bed. Between the hours off 12-6am heard people screaming up and down the hallways. The place smelt off cannabis. Will not be returning here. Wouldn't advise anyone to stay here!"
"Staff were really friendly and welcoming also room was really clean. Had dinner before attending an event, ordered beef bourguignon with mash but the mash was awful and very playdough like. Also paid for breakfast, there was an amazing variety of different options but again some of the cooked items weren't very nice. Overall a great place to stay on a budget! Just would recommend eating else where"
