"Took my bicycle in for a handlebar stem bolt replacement. The man said it will be ready in one hour, fine. When I returned he was still working on it, he couldn't get or find the same bolt to replace instead he installed a bolt that is pertruding out from the handlebar stem he also stratched the stem nuts by not using a rag with a spanner to prevent any stratching. Very careless, shoddy work and a don't care attitude. It felt like a 'hurry up and buy scenario'. The shop is very messy and dirty with a lot of trip hazards and spare parts all over the shop floor. Avoid."
"These guys are crooks I came to get a new front tyre & inner tube for my bicycle. They only take cash, which is fair until you realise they conveniently don't have any change in their shop so you always pay more than you should. They replaced my old tyre with an older, second hand one. The inner tube they charged me for is pierced. Avoid at all costs"
"The staff are honest and provide excellent costumer service. They offer one of the lowest prices around for quality repairs, and I will always go to them (for bikes and cars)!"
"E17 Tyres Stop put my life at risk. AVOID. Monday night, I noticed I had a flat tyre. A quick call to E17 Tyres Stop, and they said they’d sort it out at 8:30am the following day. Great. Just in time, I told them, for a long drive to Cardiff. So I re-inflated my tyre, drove over and was dealt with immediately. Chap clumsily removed the wheel and took it inside to replace the damaged tyre. Following further inspection, he informed me that the tyre was finished and I’d hit the inner rim of the alloy, but offered his reassurances and proceeded to knock the wheel back into shape with a hammer. He then fitted a “new” tyre and reattached the wheel, charging me £95 for the whole process (no receipt was offered). On the advice of my family, I had the car checked by another mechanic once I’d arrived in Cardiff. Horrified, he told me that a damaged alloy can crack, and hitting it with a hammer would have worsened the damage. He also pointed out that the replacement tyre was barely legal. “They endangered your life” - his words. Attached are photos of my car outside their garage during the procedure, the tread on the replacement tyre, and the final result of their handiwork on the wheel. Judge for yourself. TL;DR: I could have been on the motorway with a cracked wheel and a blown-out tyre that was barely legal in the first place. E17 Tyres would have been responsible. Don’t make the same mistake."
