Thankfully upon my return there were no faults found, he took time to explain the reasons as to why he believed i was hearing the noise from the tyre (run flat bridgstone) and best of all after all that.... no fee! "This is the second time that having booked my car in with Halfords Kingston Branch - have I ended up collecting my car from them with a new fault which was never present or existed when booked in initially with them but suddenly appeared upon collection. This time my MMI(Audi) screen has been completely damaged and no longer works or displays properly. This was after they carried out a diagnostic test which was what the vehicle was booked in for because the engine light was on. The diagnostic came back saying their was a fault with the fuel pump or parts within. This was fine and I had no problem with the result but they then said it was not something they could fix and I had to go to another garage to get the repairs. On collection (same day) when I stated my car’s screen display wasn’t working the staff as friendly and polite as they are, we’re not able to fix it after some feeble attempts. The manager stated the diagnostic that they did had nothing to do with the screen no longer working! I’ve since taken it to another garage who have stated that the diagnostic carried out was 100% linked to causing the screen to crash and no longer functioning and that whoever did the diagnostic test must have done something very wrong in administrating it. Now going through Halfords formal compliant department and they are useless! Keep saying they will call me back in 24 hours but it’s been 3 days and nobody calls. Avoid Kingston branch!! Never had problems with Southfields Halfords and the only reason I went to Kingston was because Southfields had no availability for 2 weeks from when my engine light had come on and Kingston had a much earlier date. What a mistake I made. To be honest because of this I am now longer (after years of being a loyal customer to Halfords) going to take any of my cars to Halfords for any works. Such poor service it really is bad how they treat customers and if you do ever need to go through the complaints department well, good luck because they are shocking! So unprofessional."

"I got my car serviced and MOT on this garage last year and they insisted my car needed to replace all disks and brake pads and put this in the MOt report. I thought it was odd since the car was not used during the previous 24 months of the pandemic so I did not replaced those items. Instead I got the car inspected by a German car specialist which found all of the supposed wear items were ok on the car. Avoid, they push you to replace items just for them making more sales."
