"My car was booked in for an MOT. Two days before, the car had some warning lights appear on the dash so contacted them in Advance to having work done before the MOT. Took it down the day before as they advised us they would not put the car through its MOT with dash lights on obviously. Heard nothing from the garage until 3pm the following day. Told my car had failed it’s MOT due to the lights on the dash being on. Having taken the car down a day early, I’d have assumed they would have rang me to inform me the lights on the dash were still on and if I wanted to carry out the MOT. However, thy went ahead with the MOT knowing it had failed before they started the MOT?? I have no idea why anybody would do this other than to make a few quid? It’s a shame as I’m new to the area and they seem like good, genuine people. Just a mistake which they stubbornly won’t admit to. I went down to dispute it and I think he knew he should have rang me to advise me it was going to fail it’s MOT, but all he kept saying was, ‘it’s common for people to have MOTs knowing they’re going to fail’ Girlfriends car was taken here too and was done with no problems."
"I contacted Brookdale Garage for a price to replace car rear brake pads. A quick response to inform me that they would reply again when in work. This they did in a short length of time. Price vary reasonable so booked with them on line. Thanks to Mary. While doing the replacement pads they found the discs bad corrosion so received a phone call from Roy to discuss. Job completed in good time. On pick up items there to see. While driving found auto brake did not work so emailed and a quick reply and although they were away they took the time to reply and point me in the right direction to reset the auto brake button and now all fine.
