"Popped in to see if they could put a AGM battery, (for stop/start vehicles) on the wife's car, we had been quoted over £500 for the same type of battery and halfords beat it hands down. The first person we spoke to was very welcoming and polite directing us to the reception area. The people inside were just as welcoming and soon booked us in and gave us a time window for the completion of the work. Before we knew it we were driving away new battery fitted and one happy wife. Very professional service and people, big shout out to Jack and Dave it was a pleasure doing business with you. Highly recommended!!"

"Car battery failed on the morning of Sat 17th Dec. Our car was needed for several events that day and no car would have been disastrous. Jack (manager) was spoken with. He confirmed that he had the correct replacement battery, confirmed he would get the work completed and we could carry on with our plans. If I could get to the garage within the hour. Arrived, and felt like I was in an FI pit lane. The staff were tremendous the work was completed and I was back out within 20 mins. Excellence service and excellent customer service from Jack. Who really did help save our plans. Highly recommended."

"RIP OFF!!! 2 years in a row they have ripped me off, the first time I generally thought they were good. Went for my 2nd MOT last week, failed it again for 2 things I never thought it would of. We all know there’s always something it might not be right and fail. Firstly failed it due to a leak in exhaust which they fully replaced last year and 2 other things. Quoted me £750 for work. Went different garage the day after and shock horror passed with no issues. Please take the chance and try somewhere else if your car fails and quoted hundreds! Otherwise stay the hell away from this cowboy inexperienced unhelpful idiots."

"Put the car in for a brake check, got called saying the back discs were under limit, they could order new discs and pads and do them same day. Turned up and it wasn't ready (it was dropped off 10 am) at 5.30 pm. One of the engineers drives the car outside with the car still in service mode and calipers retracted causing a parking brake malfunction - and a horrendous noise when driving it. Watched the garage manager fumble trying to remove it from service menu, and had to ring someone to tell him how to do it. Left the car with them to fix issue, because it was undriveable. Pick it up the next day and the brakes haven't felt right since. Couple of months later, brakes start juddering heavily; turns out they hadn't tightened the wheels to the correct torque setting on all the nuts and it had warped both the front discs, luckily the rear weren't as affected. Had another Halfords look at it who replaced for free (£400~ for both discs and pads). Avoid at all costs. Zero care and just a bunch of cowboys."
