"I was a loyal customer of Toolstation. but not after today. I always have a very good shopping experience with them. But something very unpleasant happened on 20/12/2022. The reason was that my boiler at home broke down, and I bought 3 heaters from TS to temporarily heat up. In the past, returns at TS have always been smooth, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem to use it temporarily and return it, just like Costco. The difference is that when I returned this time, I truthfully said that I had used these products temporarily, which makes it impossible to return them. As I had not encountered this problem before, I calmly asked them to explain and told them I can refund the items previously. In the end, the staff called over their direct manager, Paul. He came over and shouted directly at me, saying that used products cannot be returned. I told him that I can refund items at the tool station before and asked him to show me the relevant return policy, but he continued to shout ''I don't need to!!!!''. I asked him why are you yelling at me, he told me that he has a hearing problem, so he needs to speak loudly. This kind of explanation is unacceptable to anyone. It is very unlikely he has any hearing problem, he could understand what I was saying perfectly, and his reaction was swift with an arrogant attitude. As English is not my native language, he repeatedly interrupted my speech rudely and directly mocked my accent. Finally, I calmly told him that this place punishes people who tell the truth and gives advantages to those who lie, which makes him like a cat on fire. Since I was with my child, I turned and left with the invoice and goods, and he continued to roar behind me, yelling ''get out of my store!!!!''. This is life, I won't complain, I just calmly say it. After leaving the store, I searched for Toolstation's relevant return policy, and yes, used things cannot be returned. But other than that, any other things that Paul did to me were wrong. I will still go to this place to buy an item once and return it to this place. Because this is not Paul's territory, this is Toolstation, and here is the policy, he is just an employee here, and he doesn't even know who he is. I won't come here again after that.
