"I am very disappointed with the car mechanic service. I bought a car 3 months ago with RAC warranty for 3 months. A month later, the rear brake caliper broke, when a month ago the mechanic "fixed" the problem, today the problem reappeared in the same wheel, but I have no warranty anymore. 3 weeks ago I went with a shaking sterring wheel problem, it was enough to balance the wheels, the guys only balanced the front wheels on first visit, after a week I had to go again to balance the rear ones as well, where they should balance all 4 wheels when I visit them before, I reported other faults that have not been repaired: steering wheel loosened, transmission of vibrations from the engine to the body. When I asked for confirmation of the previous repairs carried out for the service book, I did not receive anything ... Big promises before buying big disappointment when problems appear. If I would buy a car again from them I would chose to save those £400 and deal with the problems myself. I do not warn against buying a car from them because buying used car is always a lottery but don't expect a lot from their RAC warranty... Edit. Yesterday I heard metalic noise from rear brakes. I went to the mechanic and he told me that both rear calliper are faulty, there is not even piston covers on it. I was in APC garage few times with it and when I bought a car they changed both rear brake pads and discs and they did full service... My mechanic told me that I was really lucky that I am still alive because It could finish the worst... Photo shows how they fix broken calliper when I report problem. You may notice the lack of a brake caliper piston cover, which causes corrosion and jamming of the brake. CHECK YOUR CARS ON ANOTHER MECHANIC AFTER REPAIR AT APC"
