"I took an item back for a return and was asked for my email address. When I asked why they needed my email the member of staff responded, "It's just for the system". When I politely declined to provide my email address her previously friendly demeanour changed, she handed me my receipt and my thanks and goodbye were not reciprocated. I have no doubt that I'd have received a traunch of unwanted marketing emails from AS had I provided my email address. It is incredibly underhand that staff aren't stating their genuine purposes for collecting personal data and then getting shirty when a customer declines. A really disappointing experience!"
