"I've only been to the black horse pub when it's been quite so can't say alot but I had a nice pint looks like a friendly place"
"Went in a while ago to watch football & have a few drinks, was busy but managed to get a table, was asked around 15 mins later to move by bar staff so other people could have the table to watch football. (The table was not reserved) I don't think staff measure alcohol in drinks either as 3 of the same drinks were very inconsistent in alcohol, colour and taste, service was very slow despite bar being pretty empty & staff seemed uninterested"
"Had a Rugby reunion Saturday afternoon watched England v Greece . Thanks Anthony & the staff for a fantastic afternoon & Hospitality 2nd to none .We had a mixed platter for 8 , Pizza , Chicken wings , Nachos & salt & pepper & dirty fries. All the lads were very Happy & very full.Quality afternoon was had by all , definitely recommend. Thanks"
"Always a great atmosphere, well kept pub with a good selection of ales, lagers and ciders. The food is absolutely fantastic, I particularly liked the chicken wings. Pizza was outstanding for a pub, real stonebaked pizza with quality ingredients. My wife and I often come here on a Sunday and always leave happy!"
"Great city centre pub which makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Great drinks and food on offer at very reasonable prices served by kind staff. The Black Horse is a popular live music venue too with the famous Sunday Sesh being a particular highlight of the week in my opinion. Sky Sports events are also shown. Other Wakefield pubs need to take notes"
