"Fantastic place. Was looking for a baker boy hat for ages and finally found it. Lot of new and vintage stuff rigourously made in UK. Must visit!"
"one of the best menswear shops in London, incredible pieces but all very wearable at a fair price. The owners are both very helpful and knowledgable, highly recommend."
"Hornets have twice helped me find excellent morning coats and evening tailcoats, two items which can be particularly hard find are which are very difficult to fit properly. The owners are helpful and have some good stories to tell (although don't take their assessment of their own stock levels as accurate - you might find they have a few more coats and trousers hiding away at the back of a rack!). The shop is quite cramped and disorganised, and there's only one tiny fitting room, but the sheer range of clothing on the racks more than justifies the lack of space. There are plenty of second-hand bespoke and Savile Row garments and you may find rarities like frock coats, toastmaster tailcoats, and court shoes too. I have been buying vintage formalwear from various sources for some time, and something which sets Hornets apart is the excellent condition of all the garments they sell. You may find small marks on a few items, but in the main you can rely on everything here to be in much better shape than what most online dealers offer. Bear in mind they may offer you a discount if you pay in cash (there is a cash machine close by) and they don't accept returns on formalwear due to people taking advantage for specific events (they will offer you credit instead). Don't expect charity shop or vintage fair prices either - the owners know full well the value of what they're selling so this isn't a place to hunt for a lucky bargain."
"An absolute goldmine of gorgeous vintage menswear, I can't wait to visit again. Cannot recommend it highly enough, great prices. Best of all, incredibly helpful friendly service from the gentleman with the lustrous white beard, what an absolute star! Thanks for a brilliant shopping experience, you have definitely gained a new fan."
