"The items sold in the shop are of good quality. But I am rating down to 1 stars because of Staff Behaviour. I did observe - that if you are smartly dressed e.g. like a banker - the Staff give you lot of attention and behave with you properly and talk to you politely. But if you are dressed casually e.g. jeans, trainers (not branded)… They don't even talk to you properly and pay you less attention. You can feel the tone in their voice - when they talked - felt like you are a 2nd class citizen. No matter how the customer looks like - staff should not judge the customer based on their looks and should everyone equally."
"Not the normal store I'd go to but was in the area. Really glad I did, the service at this store was the best of any Charles Tyrwhitt's I'd been to. Had an awful experience at the Jermyn Street store a couple of months back and this was the polar opposite. I'd go out of my way to go to this store as opposed to others. I need to mention Richard and his colleague in particular, they were terrific, they didn't rush me even though there were a few people in the store and were very approachable. 10/10."
"The two guys working there when I went were both highly attentive and knowledgeable; made my visit very pleasant. Nice shirts and current stock."
"Definitely recommend this place if you want the perfect tailor that would go the extra mile for you. His name is Richard and he’s serious about his stuff. Super passionate and went the extra mile for you. After a very long journey to various different suit shops and none having my preferred size, this shop didn’t fail to impress me. Satisfied with everything the suit is perfect. Gotta thank Richard."
"I had a distinctly different experience with this Charles Tyrwhitt location- it looks like others have had a positive outlook on it. I came in to a Charles Tyrwhitt for the first time after being a longtime customer of a competing company. The prices were reasonable and while the stock was somewhat limited, the store layout was fine. There were dozens of shirts in my size that were wrapped in plastic and I wanted to try one on to test the fit. I was told I would need to wear a 'fitting shirt'. Sure, not a problem, but it turns out they didn't have one in my size for the fitting. I asked if we could convert one of the wrapped shirts into a 'fitting shirt' so I could test it, and buy several. I was told to try a different size shirt- defeating the whole purpose. It was a frustrating experience lacking any salesmanship or basic empathy. If you can't allow a person to try on a fit, I can't conceive of the purpose of a retail location. It was my first and last time in a Charles Tyrwhitt, which is a shame because I feel I had a uniquely negative experience."
