Reviews
"My friend described it as an 'early Wetherspoons' for those old enough to remember what that brand was like in the early days. Warm, simply but well decorated with tables and chairs set out for people to sit and chat. Most of all, an adequate and well-kept range of real ales, the majority from the Black Country Ales stable. There is no harm in that. A place I will be visiting again on my next visit to Brum."
"Brilliant traditional boozer just a short stagger from farmer's bridge top lock, around the back of the ICC and library. A credit to black country brewery in its restoration. Good selection of Cobs and beer not just BBC brewery served by lovely staff"
"Nice beers in a friendly, traditional local. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Tasty pork pies and sausage rolls, but the cobs were a letdown - sod all filling for 3 quid."
"An excellent Black Country Ales pub. Wide selection of well kept ales. BFG on form! Good clean toilets. Friendly staff, good prices"
