"Beautiful gardens to explore with various things to entertain the kids on the way round. Cafe was great too, great scones!"
"Came here for cream tea and it was a mix of good and bad. Good selection, delicious huge scones, and cute atmosphere. We were a group of five, all of us spent about 10-15 a person for sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, and scones. While the price was high, it didn't seem an issue until I asked for more jam. For context, the scones are as big as an open adult hand, 5/6 inches across and three inches high. They only give one tiny pre packaged jam and a small amount of cream. Barely enough of each to cover the scone when cut in half. I asked for more jam so I could enjoy both sides of the scone and was told 20p. Am not a cash person so had to find some at the bottom of my purse. When I went to get the jam, the price I was told was incorrect was now 40p. I did not have that in cash and wasn't going to use a card, so now I either ate a large scone with no jam, or wasted it. Was so frustrated I just left it. Ate a few bites with just butter but it wasn't the same. Seemed quite silly to me that with such large scones they wouldn't offer enough jam or cream to enjoy the scone as intended. Or a place that sells jam they wouldn't use the in house jam for customers as a selling point to get people interested in the stuff they were sell. Also from the standpoint of waste, tiny disposable pots instead of washable pots with adequate ratio of product to scone size. Seems a silly thing to get frustrated by, but really soured the experience. We enjoyed the gardens afterwards but noticed the price hike especially after the jam situation. Just seemed a situation set up to make customers pay for more here and there, rather than providing the service they were actually offering, which was cream tea."
"Lovely garden centre with gardens attached. Adventure play area. Lots of water features. Enjoyable even in Winter. Toilets, baby change and cafe."
"A great morning out, at reasonable prices, with young children. Plenty to look at and lots of space to roam and play. A lovely tea room, with homemade simple food in a nice and unique space to eat in. Toilet and changing facilities available and very friendly staff. We had to queue for a while to pay, but I think that's the case everywhere this time of year. Can't wait to return in the summer."
"4* based on one visit. The spooky trail was really good. Felt like they made a lot of effort to turn what is already a really nice garden walk, into a spooky adventure that is great for the little one's. I hear that they do a Christmas walk too so we will definitely go again to check that out. The boys also loved they play area."
