"I've been to this shop multiple times and it's been average but today one of the staff, Martin has REALLY helped me with picking a monitor and went into so much detail while still making it understandable and I can't thank him enough, would come again just for him."
"The online shop pick up parking place available and plenty more free parking plots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good products with good price."
"4 staff stood around chatting (might have been about work) No one on the till. Was not until I gave them a Paddington stare did one of them come and serve me. Was not busy and I was collecting an online order so it was not difficult. Not the first time I have had this type of issue in a branch of currys."
"Went in to buy a new dyson vacuum cleaner , we had already been online to read about the model we wanted but just wanted to look before we bought and ask a few more questions. We asked for someone to advise us and after the manager had shouted one of the staff several times ( he was trying to get the England game on a TV) he came to our assistance but didn't know anything about the product and just read the spec of a ipad . We bought it anyway but you should really train your staff when people are spending over £600 on a vacuum cleaner."
"If you are a foreigner, beware of a rasist store assistant, a lady with blue-ish hair. I've made a several bigger purchases in the store over the last couple of years, both for work (I'm a software developer) and home. Never had any issues whatsoever, always dealt with very polite staff. Today I was going to buy a washer dryer and when I found the one I wanted, I asked for assistance. When the approached lady heard that I had a different accent, she asked straight away, if I was Polish. Already a bit surprised and feeling that something inappropriate was going on, I confirmed. Then she said, without any request from my side, that it would be better if she went to get a Polish store assistant, as it happens that Polish customers don't understand the British assistants and vice versa. Must admit that it left me speechless for a moment. I used to be an English teacher overseas, have been to England for over ten years and worked as an interpreter here, and today I was judged only by my nationality - without saying a single full sentence - as a person, who can't speak English. I found it rasist and offensive. It was clear that the lady didn't want to serve my family and myself. I should have gone to the manager at that point, I guess, but I just wanted to buy that washer dryer first. She served us, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. What's strange, when it turned out that our chosen machine was unavailable, we were told that two others that we were ready to buy instead, would be available for us only off the display. Later on I've checked online and it wasn't the case, I could have normally purchase it. Of course I've reported this incident, first such an incident that has ever happened to me in this store and in the UK in general."
