"Cycle repair & adjustment. New back tube, new gear cable. Brakes done etc. Zoom. Price within quote. 2 hrs done. Clean, shiny workshop. Be nice to people and they're nice back. Does NOT keep bikes overnight so call first, explain what you want."
"Very bad service, please avoid by all means. I don't normally write reviews but this one deserves a proper one. Here is why: My wife went there for a simple favour to ask: removing the cassette from a bike. It takes less than 15 seconds to do it with the correct tool. The guy asked for £6 and that it'd be ready the next day. She unfortunately said ok, but then we regretted.. no way this is worth £6. It's almost the cost of the tool. So 5min later went back to the shop asking for the wheel back. He said he had already done the job (so why would he asks for 24h in the first place then?). So we said we don't want to pay £6 for this as it's not even proper labour. He refused to give us the wheel as is, and decided to put back the cassette on the wheel before giving it back. He screamed and asked to be alone in his shop (pathetic no?). Once he'd put the cassette back on the wheel he came out of the shop with the wheel and said "don't send the lady, next time do it yourself". Very professional attitude. Then brought the wheel to a shop who had a bit more empathy and actually cares about customers. They said the cassette had been locked on the wheel like mad and that he had broken it. So on top of overcharging for a 15seconds favour, he has actually broken our product because of his frustration. Very well done. Sadly we lost a cassette, but not giving him those £6 definitely feels like the right thing to do."
"Unhelpful in the extreme. I had the misfortune of a puncture on the way home from work and made a dash for the closest bike shop which unfortunately for me was this one. I got to the shop at 5.40 requesting a simple puncture repair while no other customers were present. The response was “I can’t do anything for you.” The bloke seemed more interested in sitting behind the counter than providing any kind of service. He did quite unhelpfully say that if I’d been there before 5 he might have fixed it. I left the shop to face in to a 1.5 hour walk home bike in hand along with the knowledge that I will never consider giving this shop any business in the future."
"Took my mountain bike which needed gears realigning which would be a fairly simple job for someone in the business. The guy in the shop didn't seem interested in even having the bike left to be looked at. Took it elsewhere and was sorted no problems and no extra equipment needed."
