"We usually buy our school shoes from David Spruce but we came away empty handed today. There seems to be a lack of staff and stock as I struggled to get shoes in my daughter's size. The store also do not stock Clarks any more which is my preferred brand. The assistant was very helpful but we were a bit disappointed."

"Disgusted they charge for children to be measured and payment is required before. I have purchased school shoes from here for many years for my twin boys. Both were measured only one required new due to his feet growing. This charge was taken off the final total. My other son hadn't grown, unfortunately this charge wasn't reimbursed (£2.50)."

"We have finally been able to pick our daughter's school shoes up from the store after waiting for more than 2 weeks. The sole detaching from the shoe and also cracking on the sole ,all upper leather ok. We were told that was actually normal after only wearing them for a term and should be looking at buying a new pair......... They decided that after the shoes had been assessed that they would oblige by giving us a new pair on this one occasion. We had to phone the store to ask if they had made a decision,our daughter had no school shoes for 2 weeks plus,the staff were very helpful with us, but the shop owner needs to go on a customer care course or take example from staff. We have been loyal customers for a good number of years but from how we have been treated we will be going elsewhere from now on."
