"Shocking. Would not recommend for breakfast. 4 items for £7.95 was disgraceful. I had 1 sausage, 1 hash brown, 1 piece of black pudding and 1 egg. My plate was not even 1/4 full! Portion size of a 2 year old! Was told this included a drink but when I got to the till no - my coffee was an extra £3.50. Left there starving and ripped off - not recommend."
"Joined the line at sedum at 3pm pre father Xmas visit. No hot food, no pizza, no paninis, no kids sandwiches and 3 scones that were rock hard. All there was to eat was sliced cake or ice cream. Extremely disappointed at the lack of food and the very slow service (1 of their coffee machines are out of order)"
"I haven't been here since last year because it had gone downhill but knowing it had had a facelift we decided to give it another go...personally,I do t expect to be treated with contempt by staff .. Excuse me,are you able to make a milkshake (this is 3pm but there is a notice saying at times it may not be possible as someone has to leave the coffee kiosk) so I politely enquired to be answered 'well....I can do' In A can't much be bothered way' and off she wandered... Me: 'do I order coffee here too?'..she vaguely pointed to the coffee kiosk over the other side and muttered something...the guys on the coffee kiosk having a chat (fair enough,it's quiet) two guys on the till having a chat which serving me sort of interrupted...£18 for a coffee, a milkshake,a scone and a piece of rocky road all served with an air of contempt. Would not recommend.will not return"
"Jacket potato good , coffee lovely but grossly overpriced and undersized gelato portions were a joke . Two scoops in a tub came half way up a small cardboard cup. Tasted fine but will never order these ice creams again ( the portion would have dropped to the bottom of a cone so I guess we were lucky really) Seriously it’s a shame they had been over frozen so the poor server really struggled to scoop them out of the bid rubs for us!"
"I often eat here at lunchtime. I have a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw, although the coleslaw changed post pandemic and is no longer ordinary coleslaw, or quiche and salad with a cappuccino. All very nice. As I use a crutch there is always a member of staff who offers to help me. Unfortunately I decided to try breakfast here for the first time. It will be the last time. If you are vegetarian it will be a disappointment. As a meat eater you have sausages, bacon and black pudding as well as the vegetables whereas a vegetarian has vegetarian sausages which a vegetarian would not eat - hard enough to cut let alone eat - and, in theory, a vegetarian black pudding which was, in reality , tiny bits of burnt something or other. The mushrooms were lovely, the beans were fine, the tomatoes were stone cold and there were only fried eggs. According to the chef scrambled eggs would only last 5 minutes so they don't offer them. Isn't it amazing that buffet restaurants the world over manage to have scrambled eggs out for breakfast?? Then the toast. I asked for toast, the man serving said he would do 2 slices for me and 2 for my friend. but then let another member of staff, who clearly knew she hadn't done any toast, take my toast and give it to a customer behind me in the queue. Then he put 2 slices in front of me, going cold, while waiting for another 2. The second 2 slices were not toasted, presumably because he was now rushing,i ended up as 2 slices of bread in the bin. and we went to sit down. It was not an experience I will ever repeat. Such a shame as lunch is so good."
