"Been here four times now over the last year or so and it seems to be getting better and better. I tend towards the specials and the pork tonight was gorgeous. All 3 courses were outstanding, the service fantastic (thank you Joss and his colleague) and the cocktails again were the best we've ever had. "We visited The Garrison for our date night and we weren't disappointed. It wasn't too busy so were given the choice of where we wanted to sit. Our server Mark took our drinks order and talked us through the specials. We ordered food and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. It's a small restaurant but you don't feel like your sat on top of each other. You're pretty close to the kitchen so get to smell the food cooking and it smells incredible! It's a restaurant only so no noisy drunk revellers! Our food came out in good time and was really delicious. We couldn't manage the full 3 courses but thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The food was well presented and really tasty. Mark was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. After dinner we enjoyed our drinks on the terrace outside. They provide blankets but thankfully it was a warm evening. It was a really lovely evening, the food was great and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back!"
