"Probably one of the best county pubs I’ve been to. A very friendly and atmosphere that’s dog friendly, a great selection of spirits and beers, and the food was fantastic. The staff are all on point too, friendly and attentive without being annoying. Service was fast and efficient, I really can’t fault this lovely pub!"
"Lovely pub with a lovely atmosphere. There are a lot of tables crammed in next to one another though making the dining area slightly tight. Staff are always friendly and the food was delicious. I had visited the week before also on a Sunday and I wasn't as impressed with that. After this we had a burger which was lovely. Location is lovely and happily visit again...maybe some WD40 on the ladies toilet door though."
"I go frequently but haven't sat down to eat there for ages. It's so dog friendly it becomes my local in the summer. Tonight i ate there and it was absolutely fantastic. I had the beetroot starter which was the best starter i have ever had. The earl grey sticky toffee pudding was so light but so indulgent , again one of the best I've had. The staff were absolutely brilliant, happy and efficient. I cannot rate this place enough . Thank you for a fantastic meal"
"We went here from the Canal and it's a great (rather large) pub. From the nearest bridge it is pavement except the last bit to get there. Dogs allowed in over half of it the "bar area". Around 14-15 tables so plenty of room. Really busy even for a Thursday. Food was fantastic, probably a little expensive compared with the area but the service was spot on and very attentive but not over done. They kept tabs on people eating in the bar bit and we felt as looked after as in the restaurant. Was my better halves birthday and they even popped a candle on dessert for us. Great evening, thoroughly recommend. Thank you all as we said as we left."
"My family and I visited last night to celebrate a birthday quite by accident. My son had thought he had booked a reservation at another venue - same name but closer to home. On investigating he realised his mistake so we were a few minutes late on arrival but it was so worth the trip! The staff were wonderful, so warm and welcoming. The decor both inside and out was so inviting and the food sublime with a good overall choice for every palate. Pricing was high end but totally worth the money. We all agreed that we’d tasted a little bit of heaven. Thank you for giving us such an enjoyable, happy family evening - we hope to back again soon."
