Our purpose-built facility, owned and operated by the Paxton family, provides a nurturing and enjoyable experience for every swimmer. Denise Paxton, with over 25 years of experience in teaching swimming, is heavily involved in the day to day operations and teaching at Seahorse Aquatic Centre. She is passionate about teaching babies and takes great joy in seeing them graduate to independent swimming. Having previously taught in Cairns for 10 years, Denise has taught hundreds of children in the Townsville region since relocating over 15 years ago. She regularly attends courses and workshops to upskill and train our staff. Denise opened Little Snappers Swim School 5 years ago with 60 students, and now Seahorse Aquatic Centre has over 650 swimmers.
