You may be wondering if you can wash your feather/down duvets at Liquid Laundromats. The answer is yes! We recommend using a minimum 18kg washer and checking the care label first. Most feather duvets can be washed on a Gentle Warm Cycle or Normal Warm Cycle and can be dried in our dryers on High Temperature. To aid the drying process, we suggest adding 2 clean tennis balls to help break up the feathers/down.

When it comes to temperatures, our hot wash cycle reaches a maximum of 60-65 degrees, while our dryers operate at the highest temperature of 87 degrees. Always remember to check your care label first for specific instructions.

If you have animal blankets that need cleaning, we have you covered. Many of our laundromats have dedicated animal blanket washers. These 28kg super large washers offer special Pet Blanket Wash Cycles, featuring extra pre-wash and rinse steps. These heavy-duty wash cycles can also be used for extra dirty laundry.

For those wondering about using bleach, it is safe to use up to a cup of bleach if the duvet filling is feather or down (not wool). We recommend using a Warm Gentle Wash Cycle or taking a risk with a Hot Wash Cycle. However, for wool items, it is best to use Cycle 5 - Cold Gentle Wash. Wool items cannot be tumbled dried and need to be air dried, preferably flat.

If you have wool-filled duvets or Woolrests, they can be washed in our machines. However, it is crucial to use a Gentle Cold Cycle and avoid drying them. These items need to be air dried only.
