Welcome to the Tauranga Woodcrafters Guild, located at 3 Cherokee Place in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, New Zealand. Established in 1987, we are a vibrant community of woodcraft enthusiasts with over 90 members of all ages and skill levels.

At our purpose-built workshop, you will find a wide range of equipment and tools to support your woodcraft projects. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced woodworker, our guild provides a supportive environment for you to learn, create, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Our group meetings are held regularly throughout the week, catering to different interests and skillsets. The Wood Carving Group gathers every Monday, while the Wood Turning Group meets every Tuesday, with dedicated instruction time for beginners. The Scrollsaw Group convenes on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, and the Wood Preparation Group is available every Thursday for assistance in cutting and preparing wood for projects. For those with busy schedules, our Open Workshop Group meets on selected Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

In addition to providing a space for woodworking, the Guild also offers wood purchasing services. We store, dry, and sell wood to our members, ensuring that you have access to quality materials for your projects.

Training is an integral part of our guild's mission. During our group meetings, individuals are introduced to woodcrafts through simple training projects and tasks assigned by our knowledgeable coordinators. Whether you are just starting or looking to refine your skills, our training programs will help you develop your craft.

We are proud to showcase the talents of our members through regular woodcrafters shows. Our most recent exhibition, held in November 2022, featured stunning exhibits of our members' work, as well as member sales and trades stalls selling tools, equipment, and consumables. We also offered interactive displays of woodcarving, woodturning, and scrollsaw work, allowing the public to experience these crafts firsthand.
