"Lovely breakfast, the sourdough was great! Good coffee too. Dex rates it a 10/10, because of the side of Halloumi, only $3 and grilled well!!"
"Had a light lunch there with friends. Food is tasty and I like the bright blue colour they used. The smoothie was surprisingly good, the blue magic."
"Was the first time I had been to this café, very clean, beautiful Cafe, friendly and beautiful staff, very busy, attended to the customers fast. I didn't realize the owner was there as well I nearly read his papers lol but I was looking for the menu being the little nosey maori girl also he was very polite and said hello . I wasn't judged by the way I looked it made me feel okay, I was a little nervous to eat, I'm always like that at a restaurant though because I'm used to eating how I want. We ordered a bacon avo kumara rosti with a salad that cost $14 and my brother ordered a ham cheese tomato croissant cost $12.50 and two drinks overall for what we paid it was very beautiful maybe next time I will listen and have a coffee instead of the lemonade drink which would have been way better paired with the meal. Recommend going here to everyone"
"Farm Street Larder can be a bit hit or miss. When they first opened, the Favourite Husband and I were suitably impressed. Friendly staff, good value for money, interesting menu options that delivered on taste. Somewhere in the middle it seemed to nosedive. Change of chef maybe, no idea. But disappointing. There’s nothing worse than praising a place to friends and taking them there, only to end up horrified that they’d think my standards were that low. Fortunately, the last couple of times have been a hit. Having given it a wide berth for 6 months, we have returned. Like a hard boiled egg does when you burp after eating. And the last three visits things are good again. Admittedly I’ve played it safe with eggs Benny and mushrooms and the Favourite Husband hasn’t veered away from the usual big breakkie. He’d prefer a decent butcher’s sausage, rather than the pre-frozen deep fried nugget of nothingness, but he’ll eat it because I rarely feed him. There was insufficient hollandaise sauce for me. I like my eggs to be swimming in it, but that’s my personal preference. More keto friendly options would be the cherry on the cake. Great coffee incidentally. Now if we could just shush the kids in the adjacent playground from crying, all would be rosy."
