Welcome to Elm Row Early Childhood Centre, located in the picturesque Dunedin overlooking the stunning harbour. Housed in a beautifully renovated character villa, Elm Row Centre is a renowned establishment that caters to the needs of children at various stages of their early childhood.

At Elm Row, we understand the importance of providing a safe, fun, and exciting environment for your child. Each child is assigned a key teacher who will not only help them settle in but also support them throughout their time at our centre. We believe in capturing your child's learning adventure, which is why we create individual profile books and an online e-portfolio called Storypark. This allows you to share and cherish these precious moments, creating lasting memories of your child's early childhood.

Our learning environment is purposeful, rich, and inclusive, encouraging children to freely play and explore in their own unique ways. We harness the natural surroundings of Dunedin to enhance both play and learning, and are proud to introduce our forest programme for three and four-year-old children.

As children prepare to embark on their school journey, we have a dedicated Transition to School (Ako) group for four-year-olds. This group helps them transition smoothly and confidently into the next phase of their education.

Nutrition is a vital aspect of a child's growth, which is why we have a qualified cook on hand to provide tasty and nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. We also ensure that each child has a comfortable sleeping space and a designated basket for their belongings. Our attentive staff closely monitor sleeping children and maintain on-site records.

At Elm Row, we strongly believe in the involvement of families and the wider community. We value the partnership between teachers, children, and whanau, as we believe that we can learn from one another. Our regular fundraising ventures provide an opportunity for families to support our centre and actively participate in our community.
